Hi Everyone - well we have been back to work for about 2 weeks now and it has been non-stop! We finally installed our new computers - thanks to my nephew, Jake - and, except for the first day, it has been smooth sailing. Thanks everyone for your patience with us when our printers weren’t working the first day with our new computers!
Well, this morning we got a call from our neighbors that their dog was missing so we all went on a hike to try and find her. Lacey is deaf so it made the search a little more difficult. Little Evan and I went together to search while Dr. Evan took off in a different direction. While little Evan and I were searching we saw an old pail in the weeds that I decided to check out. As I walked up to it a wild turkey flew out and we jumped about 10 feet! What a surprise. I am guessing that she had eggs around as I was about 5 feet away from her when she surprised us. It wasn’t long after that when we received a phone call that Lacey had been found and in good shape - the best news of all!
Ahh tis the season - flowers are blooming and everywhere you look there are swans and geese sitting on their nests. This is one of my favorite times of year.
It is has been both a sad and happy time at the office. Judy, our office manager, was very instrumental in getting a dog that had been picked up by the dog control officer adopted out to a wonderful family and another adopted to one of our clients who is a dog trainer. Good luck and we are so happy that these pets have gone to some very good homes. Sadly, a few pets have been lost this week, one hit by a car and another due to heat stroke. My heart goes out to these pet owners and your loss put us all in tears.
Spring is a time of rebirth - look around and you can see the buds opening, the ground warming up, the grass turning green, the birds singing their beautiful tunes - all a constant reminder of the beauty that surrounds us - get outside, breathe, and enjoy!

Hope everyone had a happy Easter! Evan’s sister and her husband came and joined us for the weekend. We went to a pancake breakfast at a sugar shack on Saturday. They were making maple syrup right on the premisis - it is maple sugar time in upstate NY - yum! On the way up were were going through some back roads and saw a Marten - which is like a mink and is actually realted. Not very common to see one but we do see them from time to time.
We have a pair of hawks nesting in the woods next to our cabin and our cats Chewy and Meow Meow think it is great fun to watch them. Good thing they are indoor cats as I am afriad the hawks would be very interested in them!
Evan built a Purple Martin house for me and with the help of his brother in law - put it up this weekend. Just like in Witness. I think it is a little early for them to start nesting but am anxious to see them the next time we are up.
Planning on doing a little hiking today - I think our dogs Frannie and Red would appreciate some exercise. Hoping to see the happenings in the sky tonight - check out Skywatch - should be able to see space station going by.
Well, sunlight is wasting - talk to ya later.

Hey All, we thought we would try something new and share some of our family time with you. We are away this week in upstate NY. It is cold and rainy today but Monday we took a little road trip along the Delaware river and spotted 5 bald eagles – two were flying together – very beautiful! We also saw over 100 deer all very healthy in appearance and well off the road. Saw a ground hog and plenty of Red Winged Blackbirds. Spring must be around the corner!
